Romans 6:7-9

⁷ For the person who has died has been freed from sin.

⁸ Now if we have died with the Messiah,^[a] we believe that we will also live with him, ⁹ for we know that the Messiah,^[b] who was raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has mastery over him.
